Educational Qualification :
For Medical Officer (MBBS Post): The MBBS Degree of a statutory University or any other qualification as specified in the First or Second Schedule appended to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956).
For Medical Officer (Speciality posts) : The Post Graduate Diploma or Degree of a Statutory University in Peadiatrics or General Surgery or General Medicine or Gynaecology or Anesthesia or Psychiatry or Ophthalmology or Orthopedics or E.N.T. or Radiology or Pathology or Chest & TB physician or Dermatology or Degree for Blood Transfusion or in any other Specialty as specified in the First or Second Schedule appended to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956).
Salary Scale : Rs.15600/-39100/ + Grade Pay Rs. 5400/
Selection Procedure : Merit based
1 Selected candidates will be on probation for a period of two years.
2 There are prospects of promotion to the post of Maharashtra Medical & Health Services Gr-A (Rs.15600-39100 + Grade Pay 6600) provided candidate fulfills the requirement laid down for the post.
3 Selected candidates will be debarred from doing any private practice, but may be paid non practice allowance in lieu thereof according to the rules.
4 Selected candidates will be required to sign an agreement embodying the condition of service including the condition to serve Government for a period of five years or in default to pay a penalty of amount as may be prescribed by the Government time to time.
5 Selected candidates will have to get themselves registered under the Maharashtra Medical Council Act, 1965 (Mah.XLVI of 1965), or his/her name is borne on the Indian Medical Register maintained under the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) before joining duty.
1 Candidates are required to furnish an affidavit on a stamp paper of Rs.100/-, affirmed before a Notary in respect of correctness and authenticity of the information mentioned in the Application Form. Specimen of affidavit is published on the website in the "Specimen form of Affidavit for Direct Recruitment Posts" Section.
2 The application Form should be accompanied by an affidavit, failing which it will be treated as incomplete and will be rejected.
3 The candidate should submit all the original certificates at the time of document verification .
a. For Open category candidates – Rs.500/- (plus Rs. 25 Bank charges)
b. For Backward Class candidates – Rs.300/- (plus Rs. 25 Bank charges)
c. The fee should be paid through SBI challan mode only.
